About Carolina has always loved art and science. After earning an MD, specializing in pathology, and working in the field of medical informatics, she is now an illustrator and creates picture books, specializing in simplifying complex topics so children of all ages can understand them.
Carolina is a member of the DC Illustrator's club and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She lives in the Washington DC area with her husband and (almost) 7 year old son.
